Helping Parents Help Their Babies Reach Their Full Development Potential
Founded in 2006 by Judy Kang, a highly regarded occupational therapist specializing in infant and toddler development for almost 10 years, Spotlightbaby’s mission is to empower parents with the developmental tools and eco-friendly products necessary to help their babies’ reach their full development potential.
Baby development strategy materials, workshops and DVDs provide parents with everyday “how to” strategies to enhance their baby’s development through manual exercise and strategic “play” techniques. Judy’s first DVD focusing on promoting gross motor skills and cognitive skills using a parent-baby exercise ball to be released in the fall of 2010.
Spotlightbaby also offers parents eco-friendly products made from naturally soft, organic, safe and non-toxic bamboo fibers. Their introductory baby toys and products include:
1) Bamboo Buddy – An ultra-soft plush toy with unique twisted “nubby” for hands and feet that are great for tactile stimulation and serves as a safe alternative to a teether.
2) Squeez-Ease – A revolutionary update to no-scratch mitts that not only helps prevent babies from scratching themselves, but also helps promote sensory development.
Spotlightbaby is also a socially conscious company that helps women improve their quality of life by supporting organizations that help fight human trafficking in Southeast Asia. Partnering with and financially supporting organizations that provide women with training and alternative means to support their families, Spotlightbaby seeks to empower women across the globe to have a better quality of life.
Spotlightbaby has a global and holistic approach with the impact of their products. The purchase of their products not only locally empowers parents to assist in their baby’s development, but also helps disadvantaged moms around the world to have a better quality of life by donating a portion of all profits to organizations dedicated to this empowerment.
Spotlightbaby is operated by Judy and her business partner, Sally Park. The two women have been committed to integrity and achieving a successful business – making a profound impact on the world since they met in 2002.
